Tater Shack in Dickson

One of my favorite stops in Dickson! Huge hearty stuffed potatoes in a casual atmosphere at a good price. Eat local!

I suggested Tater Shack if they would consider to have Veggie Big Franks from Loma Linda/Worthington Brand Vegan style for vegetarian customers and for the potatoes to have Vegetarian Chili also from Worthington, Vegan Cheese and/or Vegan Cheese Sauce as well as Vegan Sour Cream also for vegetarian customers like yours truly.

The Tater Shack is in a small strip mall, not far off I-40. The inside is has an eclectic collection of decorations, giving it a lot of character. The menu is full of every kind of loaded potato you can imagine, plus some that you didn't, but sound delicious. They have an equally good selection of hotdogs and nachos too. The potatoes are large and well stuffed. I ordered the Taco Tater, which is basically a toco dumped out over a baked potato. Definitely worth a stop if you find yourself in Dickson TN!

Got spicy chicken tater. Worst ever. Had literally 4 bite size pieces of chicken on it. Piled high butter. Sour cream. Looked like they gutted out the potato. Used to be best. I'll never come back. Wasted 9$. On potato shell and 16 oz dew.

Lots of variety if you like baked potatoes but they offer other items if you don't. Also ice cream and homemade desserts.

If you like the thought of extra large perfectly made baked potatoes with an unimaginable amount of topping combinations, this is the place for you. I'll be back many times.

They have moved back to the original location on hwy 70. Great food, never have been disappointed.

Name a food you like. They probably have it in a potato at this place. I like chicken teriyaki, and they had a chicken teriyaki potato. Others in my group got chili potatoes, chicken Parm, etc. The potatoes were good and big. This place is the farthest from fancy as you can get. But it has personality. Weird stuff on the walls. Odd things laying around. But that's it's charm.

Goodness, I am not sure what to rate this place, but here is my review. I have truly stepped into the past, where overalls and ball caps are the norm and folks speak really interestingly. But, all that said, I have NEVER seen such gigantic potatoes. Now, when I say they come loaded, I mean they come L-O-A-D-E-D. AND, perfectly cooked, too! For only $6 and change, my potato was unbelievable. (See my videos) Well, it's getting colder and it deserves to be devoured as much as I possibly can...Yum!

One of the best places in Dickson to get food for super cheap. Their baked potatoes are huge, and their menu is unique compared to most restaurants you find anywhere else. The staff is always fast to get the food out for you too. It's my favorite place to get a huge baked potato.

Welp bought our dogs supper today cause it damn sure wasn't suitable for human consumption. Microwaved and completely covered in butter. Cold sliced cheese slapped on the top. Completely drowned in bbq sauce. Very terrible experience. Place is nice on the inside. I'd buy my dogs dinner here more often.

Always good, can never finish my whole tater. Friendly staff, clean homey dining.

Best place for food if you love big potatoes

The food was good the only thing would be more toppings on half potatoes and some type of Brown gravy for pot roast tater it was a little dry. Great flavor though!
